Essay prompt:
How will travel change the way you think, feel, or act about the world? Explain your answer and its relevance to the world. Reflect on your answer and connect it to your own life. Provide enthusiasm for the global experience forthcoming. Show awareness and understanding of other cultures.

Essays will be assessed on the following criteria:
  • My passion and excitement for the global world and my presence in it is evident throughout.
  • I express how I see myself and my community in the global world and recognize that perspectives can differ.
  • I strongly connect my idea to my personal story and background using specific examples.
  • I openly share why I am personally invested in the tour I am taking part in.
  • I explain the relevance of my answer to my personal growth and my local community and use evidence to tell how it will have a positive impact on both.
